4)굴로다국(屈露多國) 굴로다국의 둘레는 3천여 리이며 산이 사방으로 에워싸고 있다. 나라의 큰 도성의 둘레는 14～15리이며 토지는 비옥하고 때맞추어 곡식을 파종한다. 꽃과 열매가 무성하고 초목이 우거졌다. 설산에 인접해 있어 진귀한 약초가 많이 나며, 금은과 적동(赤銅)과 화주(火珠)․우석(雨石)이 난다. 기후는 점점 추워지고 눈과 서리가 조금 내린다. 사람들의 생김새는 추하고 목에 혹이 있는 데다가 다리 또한 부어 있다. 성품은 강인하고 용맹하며, 용기 있는 자를 숭상한다. 가람은 20여 곳 있으며 승도는 천여 명 있다. 대부분은 대승을 배우고 있고, 소수의 사람들이 각 부파들의 사상을 익히고 있다. 천사는 열다섯 곳이 있고 이도(異道)들이 뒤섞여 살고 있다. 큰 바위와 산마루에 의거하여 석실들이 서로 간격을 두루 잡고 자리 잡고 있는데, 어떤 것은 아라한이 살았던 곳이고 어떤 것은 선인이 머물렀던 곳이라고 한다. 나라 안에 있는 솔도파는 무우왕이 세운 것이다. 옛날 여래께서 일찍이 이 나라에 오셔서 널리 법을 설하여 사람들을 제도하였다고 하는데 유적에 이렇게 기록되어 있다. 이곳에서 북쪽 길을 따라서 1,800～1,900리의 길을 가는데, 길은 험하고 산과 계곡을 넘어야 한다. 그러면 낙호라국(洛護羅國)에 이른다. 여기서 북으로 2천여 리를 가는데, 험난한 길을 지나서 찬바람을 이겨내고 눈이 날리는 길을 지나면 말라사국(秣邏娑國)[또는 사파가국(三波訶國)이라고도 부른다]에 이른다. 굴로다국으로부터 남쪽으로 7백여 리 가다 보면 큰 산을 넘고 큰 강을 지나 설다도로국(設多圖盧國)[북인도의 경계이다]에 이른다. 지역 :북인도.중인도
